 Apple pies are delicious and healthy. This upside-down pie is sugar-free, gluten-free, and low GI.

Ingredients

  • 3-4 sweet apples
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/3 cup fructose (or another sweetener)
  • pinch of soda
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • cinnamon
  • walnuts and Agave Syrup (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 * F (175 * C)
  • Line the round shape with parchment paper
  • Cut the apples into thin slices, put them in the form in several layers,and sprinkle with cinnamon
  • You can add walnuts if you’d like to. If you prefer a sweeter taste,then sprinkle everything with Agave syrup.
  • Beat eggs in a mixer with fructose until light and fluffy texture
  • Add soda
  • Start adding almond flour, gradually stirring very gently with a soft spatula
  • Pour the dough over the apples, and bake for 20-25 minutes
  • Allow to cool, turn onto a large flat plate, and gently peel off the paper
