BOO APPETIZERS
BOO appetizers are Low Glycemic, sugar-free, light, and healthy. The basic ingredients to use are:
- Ezekiel 4:9 Sprouted 100% Whole Grain Bread
- Cream cheese or sugar-free mayonnaise for the spread of your choice
Garlic cream cheese Spread:
- Cream cheese
- Finely chopped garlic
- Finely chopped scallions
- Black pepper
MORE FILLING OPTIONS
Salmon Spread
- Finely chopped smoked Salmon
- Finely chopped chives
- Cream cheese
Tuna Spread
- Canned tuna
- Chopped hard-boiled eggs
- Finely chopped chives or dill
- Sugar-free mayonnaise
Mushrooms Spread
- Finely chopped mushrooms and onion, cooked in olive oil
- Cream cheese
Pickles Spread
- Finely chopped pickles
- Cream cheese
Directions:
- Place 3-4 tbs of the spread between two slices of Ezekiel bread
- Wrap with a plastic wrap, press slightly, and place in a refrigerator for at least one hour
- Cut BOOs using a cookie cutter
- Spread more cream cheese on top
- Decorate with small pieces of black olives, or other vegetables
Weight Loss Help
- These appetizers are made from Low Glycemic Index sprouted bread (36) and vegetables (15)
- Cream cheese and fish do not have a Glycemic Index, therefore do not influence your weight
- Serve them with other Low Glycemic appetizers, salads, meat, fish, or chicken
