HEALTHIER MINI BURGERS
We enjoy our friends’ company and like other social activities. A majority of traditional burgers contain breadcrumbs, which we want to avoid in order to reduce some extra weight. Here is how you can make your burgers healthier. They are ideal for the 4th of July grill or other outdoor entertainment.
Ingredients:
- 1 pound of ground meat (beef, chicken, turkey, or lamb)
- 1 small finely chopped onion
- 2-3 finely chopped white mushrooms
- 1 tbsp finely chopped parsley
- 1 tsp of Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and black pepper
- 4 oz Horseradish cheese
Directions:
- Mix together all the ingredients except cheese and firm small flat rounds.
- Place a chunk of cheese on half the rounds and top each with another round of meat mixture. Blend the edges and seal in the cheese completely.
- Cook them over medium-high heat for about 15 minutes, turning once, until golden brown.
Side dishes: any fresh salad or cooked vegetables
Please AVOID: potato and corn
