GREEK MEAT PATTIES with FETA
Greek meat patties made with feta and lemon zest, but bread-crumbs-free. No bad carbs, only protein with fat, and tomato highlights.
GREEK MEAT PATTIES with FETA
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small zucchini
- 1 tbsp fresh chopped oregano
- ¼ cup Feta crumbs (starch-free)
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 1 egg
- 1 lemon
- pinch of salt and black pepper
- 2 plum tomatoes
Instructions
- Grate the zucchini and drain the juice as shown in the video
- Grate half of the lemon zest using a small grater
- Add all other ingredients and mix well until the mixture is homogeneous
- Form patties about 1.5 in diameter
- Place on a baking sheet covered with baking paper
- Cut tomatoes and place one slice on each patty. Salt and pepper the tomatoes.
- Bake 20-25 minutes in a preheated to 425*F oven
Notes
In this video, I baked patties for 10 minutes without tomatoes, then for 15 more minutes with tomatoes. But I realized that placing tomatoes on the patties from the beginning works better.
