SALAD WHITE CABBAGE with SWEET PEPPERS
Salad white cabbage with peppers is a marinaded salad made with a light sugar-free marinade. Great appetizer or a side dish for meat and fish.
WHITE CABBAGE SALAD WITH SWEET PEPPERS
- 1 small white cabbage
- 1 sweetred pepper
- 1 sweet yellow pepper
- 1 sweetorange pepper
- 1 Vidalia onion
Marinade
- 1/2 cup oliveoil
- 1/2 cup whitevinegar
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 tbsp salt
Cut everything into thin strips
Heat olive oil and vinegar in a small pan. Add bay leaves and salt. Continue heating until a liquid is getting close to boiling, but don’t boil. Let it cool for 5-10 minutes.
Pour the mixture over vegetables, mix well.
Leave to settle at room temperature for several hours, steering periodically.
Veggies become softer and the amount is getting smaller.
Place into a refrigerator. The salad is ready to eat on the next day. It stays fresh for several weeks.
