CROSTINI with CHEESE, SMOKED SPRATS, WALNUTS
Crostini is a beautiful choice for Holiday’s appetizer. Get all the ingredients upfront and make them right before serving.
CROSTINI WITH CHEESE, SMOKED SPRATS, WALNUTS

- 6 slices of Ezekiel 4:9® Bread
- 1 cup of walnuts
- 1 garlic clove
- ½ pound of yellow cheese
- 1 lemon
- 1 can of smoked sprats
- 2 big leaves of lettuce
- 2-3 big radishes
- 1 small package of Goat cheese plain
- olives of your choice
- deeping olive oil with herbs for brushing
- black pepper
Cut 3 other slices longwise to get 6 rectangles
Place all in a baking sheet covered with baking paper
Toast in the 350*F oven for 3-4 minutes
For triangle crostini:
Chop walnuts and garlic in a chopper
Grate yellow cheese (you need about 1 cup)
Brush triangles with dipping olive oil
Sprinkle with grated cheese
Place walnut-garlic mixture on the top
For rectangle crostini:
Cut cheese into a thin rectangle about the size of the toast
Slice lemon into thin slices
Place a slice of cheese on each toast
Place 2 sprats on top of the cheese
Cover each one with a piece of lemon
Cook crostini in the oven at 390*F for 4-5 minutes or until cheese is melting and walnuts are goldish
For a side dish:
Cover a serving plate with lettuce
Cut radishes into round slices
Spread goat cheese on each piece and cover with another slice
Arrange radishes with cheese over the lettuce and add olives
