STRAWBERRY FROZEN YOGURT

 Strawberry frozen yogurt is easy to make using an ice cream maker.

Yogurt-based desserts are light and refreshing.  For getting delicious and aromatic frozen yogurt, make sure that strawberries are very fresh and sweet.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of 0% fat sugar-free yogurt, strained through a cheesecloth for 2-3 hours
  • 1/2 cup of pure fructose
  • 2 cups of pureed strawberries 
  • 1 tsp fresh lime juice

Directions:

  • Whisk well all the ingredients
  • Refrigerate for several hours or overnight 
  • Pour the mixture into the frozen freezer bowl
  • Mix until thickened, about 15-20 minutes
  • Transfer to an ice cream container and freeze for at least 2 hours. 

Weight Loss Help

  • Fructose has a very low Glycemic Index (20) versus a high Glycemic Index of sugar (100)
  • Fructose is a natural product and tastes like sugar, even better
  • Make sure that your yogurt is 0% fat, and also sugar and high fructose syrup-free
  • When garnish, avoid using cookies, milk chocolate chips, or any syrup
