Strawberry Frozen Yogurt

Yogurt-based desserts are light and refreshing. Make Strawberry Frozen Yogurt using an ice cream maker. For getting delicious and aromatic frozen yogurt, make sure that strawberries are very fresh and sweet.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of 0% fat sugar-free yogurt, strained through a cheesecloth for 2-3 hours
  • 1/2 cup of pure fructose
  • 2 cups of pureed strawberries 
  • 1 tsp fresh lime juice

Directions:

  • Whisk well all the ingredients
  • Refrigerate for several hours or overnight 
  • Pour the mixture into the frozen freezer bowl
  • Mix until thickened, about 15-20 minutes
  • Transfer to an ice cream container and freeze for at least 2 hours. 

Weight Loss Help

  • Fructose has very low Glycemic Index (20) versus high Glycemic Index of sugar (100)
  • Fructose is a natural product and tastes as sugar, even better
  • Make sure that your yogurt is 0% fat, and also sugar and high fructose syrup free. 
  • When garnish, avoid using cookies, milk chocolate chips or any syrup
