To make these fun BOO appetizers Low Glycemic, the basic ingredients you should use are:

  • Ezekiel 4:9 Sprouted 100% Whole Grain Bread
  • Cream cheese or sugar-free mayonnaise for the spread of your choice

Salmon Spread

  • Finely chopped smoked Salmon
  • Finely chopped chives
  • Cream cheese

Tuna Spread

  • Canned tuna
  • Chopped hard boiled eggs
  • Finely chopped chives or dill
  • Sugar-free mayonnaise

Mushrooms Spread

  • Finely chopped mushrooms and onion, cooked in olive oil
  • Cream cheese

Pickles Spread

  • Finely chopped pickles
  • Cream cheese


  • Place 3-4 tbs of spread between two slices of Ezekiel bread
  • Wrap with a plastic wrap, press slightly, and place in a refrigerator for at least one hour
  • Cut BOOs using a cookie cutter
  • Spread more cream cheese on top
  • Decorate with small pieces of black olives, or other vegetables
